William "Jones" Andrews, Jr.
Attorney at Law

William “Jones” Andrews, Jr. was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduate from Richland Northeast High School, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance from the University of South Carolina.

Jones received his Juris Doctorate degree from USC in 1991, and began his law career by clerking for the Honorable Don S. Rushing, Circuit Court Judge for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. In 1992, Jones was Assistant Solicitor for the Honorable Donald Myers, Solicitor for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. From 1992-1994, he was Associate Attorney for Richardson Plowden Grier & Howser, and from 1994-2000 he was Associate Attorney for Bowers Orr & Dougall. From 2000-2006, Jones was the sole shareholder in the Law Offices of Jones Andrews. In June 2006, he proudly joined the team of McGowan, Hood, Felder & Johnson.

He is a member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Richland County Bar Association. Jones also volunteers his time on the Fee Disputes Board, which hears cases involving attorney fee disputes.

Jones is married and he and his wife, Lindsey, are the proud parents of twins, a boy and a girl.



Melinda S. Cotton
Paralegal

Melinda was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from Lower Richland High School where she was listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students. She was a member of the Beta Club and graduated in the top five (5%) percent of her class.

Following a voyage into the working world, Melinda enrolled in the paralegal program at South University, from where she graduated summa cum laude in 1989. She began her legal career in February 1990 with Leigh J. Leventis, Esquire, where she stayed until September of 2003, when she began working with Jones. With over sixteen years of legal experience, Melinda takes great pride in helping to represent injured victims. She cares passionately about her work and is genuinely concerned about each of our clients and the successful outcome of their cases.

Melinda is a member in good standing of the Palmetto Paralegal Association and a Paralegal Affiliate of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

She has been married for over twenty-six years, and she and her husband are the proud parents of a son, Michael.
